Chargers beat writer Michael Gehikan states that, according to a source, San Diego will make a run at San Francisco 49ers free agent guard Mike Iupati.
As of 9 AM today, NFL teams are allowed to begin discussions with the agents of pending free agents. However, no contracts can be made official until Tuesday, when free agency and the new league year begin.
Iupati was drafted by the 49ers in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times and was a 2012 first-team All Pro.
