Frank Gore goes down with injury vs Seahawks

Dec 14, 2014 at 2:38 PM--

San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore went down with an injury after blocking for the offense during the second quarter in the team's game against the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field.

Gore suffered a head injury on the play.

He looked ok on the sideline shortly after the injury and was later led to the locker room by 49ers medical staff. However, he was able to jog off to the locker room, which is certainly good news.

The 49ers led the Seahawks 7-3 at that time.

UPDATE:

Frank Gore has been ruled out for this game.

Russell Wilson isn't happy with his situation in Seattle. Earlier this month, the Seahawks quarterback expressed his frustration to reporters. "I'm frustrated with getting hit too much," Wilson said. Michael-Shawn Dugar, Mike Sando, and Jayson Jenks of The Athletic report that the quarterback has discussed those frustrations with team decision-makers multiple times and even offered up ideas to fix the situation. Those suggestions were reportedly dismissed, leaving Wilson more frustrated with the organization. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports first reported Wilson's growing discontent, naming several potential trade destinations. "[Wilson and Carroll] have made the playoffs every season but one, won a Super Bowl and lost another,"

Could the Pacific Northwest handle another fan-favorite crossing over to the division rival? If you think the 49ers will have to do some creative maneuvering to stay under the salary cap — whatever the limit ends up being — the rest of the NFC West is in worse situations. San Francisco's over $13 million in projected cap space leads the division, per OverTheCap.com. The Arizona Cardinals look to have under $12 million, the Seattle Seahawks just over $4 million, and the Los Angeles Rams — well, they

"You'll see my progress on the field next [season]," Bosa told Anderson via a phone conversation. "Tell them I'm gonna be better." I spoke w/ #49ers DL Nick Bosa (ACL) on the phone real quick before his workout in Ft Lauderdale,
