Chris Culliver injured in the first quarter

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver went down with an injury at the end of the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. He eventually got on his feet, but looked a little woozy.

Rookie cornerback Dontae Johnson replaced him on the field.

The 49ers had already lost starter Tramaine Brock earlier in the game.

Update:

Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area is reporting that Culliver is being evaluated for a head and neck injury and that his return is questionable.

Update 2:

Maiocco reports that Culliver has a concussion and has been ruled out of this game.

49ers place Trey Lance on injured reserve, Tevin Coleman returns, other roster moves

The San Francisco 49ers have officially placed QB Trey Lance on injured reserve. On Monday, the quarterback underwent successful surgery on his ankle at Stanford Hospital, repairing a fibula fracture and ligament disruption. The injury occurred early during Sunday's 27-7 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. "Lance will start the rehab process, and head team physician Dr. Tim McAdams is confident that he will recover completely in time for a full return in the 2023 season," the 49ers said via a statement. Injured 49ers tackle Trent Williams expects to return in 'no time'

Trent Williams was expected to miss at least a month after the left tackle suffered a high-ankle sprain during the San Francisco 49ers' Week 3 loss to the Denver Broncos.
