Tramaine Brock leaves the field with an injury

During the first quarter of the game between the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys, 49ers cornerback Tramaine Brock left the game with an injury to his leg or ankle. He was replaced by Perrish Cox.

Brock was examined on the sidelines by team doctors and then eventually taken off of the field via a cart. However, he was in the passenger seat and not the back of the cart.

Update:

Brock is questionable to return to the game.

Update 2:

Erin Andrews of FOX reports that, according to the 49ers, it is a toe injury.

Update 3:

Brock later returned to the sideline and was standing fine, but he was without his helmet.

Trey Lance is among the San Francisco 49ers players still dealing with an injury. The rookie quarterback suffered a chipped bone in the index finger of his throwing hand during the team's preseason finale against the Las Vegas Raiders on August 29. Lance will be limited today, but head coach Kyle Shanahan hopes the rookie can get a little more work in as the team prepares for its regular-season opener against the Detroit Lions. The coach was asked if Lance can take snaps and throw the football now. He wasn't doing so during Monday's practice. "I think so," Shanahan responded. "Yeah, we'll see out there today. But yeah, he should be able to do everything. We'll see how he feels when he does it, though." Lance was later shown throwing

Trey Lance continues to look good throwing footballs during the portions of practice that are open to the media. The rookie quarterback is recovering from a chipped bone in his finger, an injury suffered on August 29 against the Las Vegas Raiders. For now, things appear to be trending in the direction of Lance being available on Sunday. He was limited today. No brace, no splinter, no problem it appears for QB Trey Lance ahead of Week 1.
