San Francisco 49ers linebacker Blake Costanzo, who was signed by the 49ers on June 3, 2014, has been placed in injured reserve.

The 49ers have used his roster spot to sign ex-Steeler linebacker Kion Wilson to a one-year deal. The 6-foot-1, 239-pound Wilson played in seven games for the Steelers in 2013, starting two.

He entered the league in 2010 as an undrafted free agent and debuted with the San Diego Chargers. The 27 year old has 17 career tackles and will likely try to play the Costanzo role on special teams.
