Mar 13, 2013 at 12:22 PM--

Minutes after learning that safety Dashon Goldson had reached a 5 year, $41.25 million deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that the San Francisco 49ers have reached an agreement with former Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey.

Dorsey was drafted in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He was the fifth overall selection. Over his career, he has had 238 tackles, 4 sacks and one forced fumble.

Trent Williams calls last week's COVID-19 situation 'a nightmare,' feels 49ers were 'screwed'

Trent Williams was frustrated as he watched his San Francisco 49ers teammates struggle in last week's game against the Green Bay Packers. The starting left tackle was supposed to be playing. He entered the week like any other, assuming he would be anchoring the 49ers offensive line. Then wide receiver Kendrick Bourne tested positive for COVID-19. Contact tracing identified Williams and two others as individuals who had been close enough to Bourne that they might have contracted the highly-contagious virus. Because the game was on a Thursday, Williams did not have enough time to pass two COVID-19 tests and be cleared to play. "It was a nightmare, man. 49ers-Saints: Still no sign of Deebo Samuel at practice, Kendrick Bourne returns

Reporters did not see San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel during today's practice, which is the last of this week before the team boards a plane bound for New Orleans. General manager John Lynch had hoped Samuel might be able to get onto the practice field today but noted that his availability for this weekend remained a long shot. "I think the final challenge or opportunity for Deebo to show that he can go is out here on Friday,"

By David Bonilla
Nov 13, 2020

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 10 contest against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Both wide receiver Deebo Samuel and running back Tevin Coleman are ruled out. Neither practiced this week. Two other receivers, River Cracraft and Trent Taylor, are listed as "questionable." Sunday will be Samuel's third consecutive missed game due to a hamstring injury. He also missed the first three games of the season after suffering a Jones fracture in June. Head coach Kyle Shanahan noted that cornerback Richard Sherman would not be activated from injured reserve before this weekend's game. The 49ers opened his practice windows this week. Sherman's most-likely return will be on November
