FOX Sports' Jay Glazer is reporting that, pending a physical, the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to trade wide receiver Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks.

ESPN's Adam Schefter also reported that the trade was likely.

The San Francisco 49ers may have to face Harvin twice a season now, which makes improving the defensive backfield even more important.

Deebo Samuel's 49ers trade request wasn't a negotiation tactic, says Michael Irvin

After Deebo Samuel signed a three-year contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers, making the talented wide receiver a very wealthy man, some assumed that his April trade request was a negotiating tactic. According to Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver and NFL Network analyst Michael Irvin, it wasn't. Samuel legitimately wanted out of Santa Clara. In April, Irvin admitted that he spoke with Samuel after the Super Bowl, advising the young wideout to stay with Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers because that would be best for his career. "Like, it kind of felt, OK, he didn't receive that well," Irvin said in April. In an interview with 95.7 The Game on

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch spoke with reporters via a conference call on Tuesday. He did so from his office at the team facility, noting that he could see quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo on the practice field from his window. "I'm watching him throw right now, and he looks pretty good," Lynch said. The general manager confirmed that Garoppolo is cleared to practice. However, both sides have "mutually" agreed that the best thing right now is to have the quarterback work on the side. Garoppolo doesn't have any restrictions, though. "Jimmy's doing a really good job, kind of building his stamina in the throwing program that was prescribed all along, and working out really strongly and aggressively," Lynch

The San Francisco 49ers released an "unofficial" depth chart before today's practice. Head coach Kyle Shanahan shared that people probably shouldn't read too much into it because not much thought goes into it. The 49ers Communications staff compiles it, not the coaching staff, so Shanahan may not have even seen it. Jake Brendel is competing with Daniel Brunskill for the starting center job. So why is Brendel listed as the starter? "Because we had to put one there," Shanahan explained. One other position group stood out. With Lance solidified as the starting quarterback, the depth chart lists Nate Sudfeld and Brock Purdy behind him. Fourth on the list,

Seattle Seahawks star receiver receiver D.K. Metcalf finally received his long-term contract extension, earning a three-year, $72 million deal with $58.2 million guaranteed, as well as a $30 million signing bonus, which was the largest ever for a wide receiver in NFL history. Now comes San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel's contract extension, as the two sides have been continuously in talks over the past few weeks according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. In a slew of major deals for wide receivers this offseason, there are three specific cases that could be the defining factor in Samuel's contract negotiations: Philadelphia Eagles wideout A.J. Brown, Washington Commanders wideout Terry McLaurin, and now Seattle Seahawks wideout D.K.
