The Associated Press reports Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage said QB Trent Dilfer, who was recently traded to the San Francisco 49ers, did not force the Browns to trade him. Savaage added, "He never forced his way out of Cleveland. Trent never came to me and said, 'Hey, I've got to get out of here." He also said the relationship between Dilfer and offensive coordinator Maurice Carthon played no part in the trade.
