Earlier tonight, it was reported that 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree was interviewed by San Francisco police about allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman in the city following the team's 45-31 victory over the Green Bay Packers.

The incident reportedly occurred on January 13, the morning following the team's victory.

Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group reported on Twitter that Crabtree was not seen with the team as they arrived in Atlanta.

In response, Mindi Bach of CSN Bay Area reported on Twitter that Crabtree was indeed seen at the team facility earlier today.

According to the 49ers, Crabtree did make the trip to Atlanta and the team is aware of the investigation. Trent Baalke, the team's general manager, issued the following statement:

"We are aware of the allegation against Michael and understand that he has fully cooperated with authorities ... The 49ers take such matters very seriously. We will have no further comment at this time as the legal process is ongoing. Additional requests for comment should be directed to Michael's attorney."

The incident is being investigated by the Special Victims Unit. The detectives interviewed Crabtree with his lawyer present and it has been said that he has been very cooperative.

Crabtree, who had nine receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns against the Packers, is expected to play on Sunday in the NFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Update

Here is a photo of Crabtree arriving at the hotel in Atlanta. His arrival was missed by all of the 49ers beat writers that were there waiting for the team. Crabtree may have simply used a different entrance to avoid questions.
