The 49ers (2-1) are coming off of a 24-13 loss to the Minnesota Vikings while the Jets (2-1) are coming off of a 23-20 win over the Miami Dolphins.

It's a strange thing to type, considering the men wearing the intersecting letters on their helmets do not resemble a real threat to any opponent. Yet, the 49ers have shown some fight. 49ers' Kyle Shanahan jokes about running out of hat options for games

Kyle Shanahan has yet to wear his official red Shanahat this season. If he hasn't by now, he probably isn't going to. The San Francisco 49ers coach has come close, though. He switched to a red version of the team's script hat during the team's Week 9 contest against the Green Bay Packers, but it wasn't the Shanahat.
