The San Francisco 49ers hosted linebacker Mychal Kendricks on a visit, per ESPN's Field Yates. The team initially signed the veteran on August 16. He landed on injured reserve on August 24 due to what was described as a "turf-toe sprain," and the team released him on September 2 with an injury settlement. Yates reports that a reunion might be on the horizon. The 49ers hosted LB Mychal Kendricks on a visit. Today, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters via a conference call. His team is coming off a 28-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and fell to 2-2 on the season. Shanahan provided several injury updates from the game. The most discussed injury was to quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who could not start the second half, giving way to rookie Trey Lance. Shanahan said Garoppolo suffered a calf contusion and will be re-evaluated on Wednesday. He did suffer a shoulder injury but is only considered day-to-day, and may not miss time.
