McAddley close to signing

The Press Democrat reports that the San Francisco 49ers are close to re-signing free agent wide receiver Jason McAddley to a one year contract.

McAddley appeared in 12 games last season for the 49ers. He had 7 catches for 125 yards. He played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2002 and 2003 before moving to the Tennessee Titans in 2004.

The San Francisco 49ers have promoted running back Marlon Mack from the practice squad to the active roster, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The team has been without starter Elijah Mitchell since Week 1 when he suffered an MCL sprain. He is on injured reserve.
