Jim Harbaugh, Alex Smith, Frank Gore, Patrick Willis and the rest of the San Francisco 49ers kick off the 2012 season with a trip to Lambeau Field to face Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

The 49ers (0-0) finished the preseason 3-1 while the Packers (0-0) finished the preseason 2-2.

The game kicks off at 1:25 PM and, as usual, you can visit 49erswebzone.com for the latest news and updates during and after the game.

The game will be televised on FOX.

NFL Network to air 49ers-Packers preseason game live

KPIX 5 will broadcast the preseason matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers at Levi's Stadium throughout the Bay Area. Fans outside the region can also watch the August 12 game. NFL Network announced its slate of 22 live preseason games, including the 49ers' first exhibition matchup. Those with access to the channel can watch the August 12 action live at 5:30 p.m. PT. It will immediately follow the preseason matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions set to air at 3:00 p.m. PT. 22 live

Frank Gore still has a lot of love for the San Francisco 49ers. He's declared a never-ending desire to root for the organization that made him a third-round draft pick in 2005.
