Jim Harbaugh, Alex Smith, Frank Gore, Patrick Willis and the rest of the San Francisco 49ers kick off the 2012 season with a trip to Lambeau Field to face Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

The 49ers (0-0) finished the preseason 3-1 while the Packers (0-0) finished the preseason 2-2.

The game kicks off at 1:25 PM and, as usual, you can visit 49erswebzone.com for the latest news and updates during and after the game.

The game will be televised on FOX.

The NFL has awarded the Bay Area Super Bowl LX (60). The NFL title game will be played in February of 2026 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, home of the San Francisco 49ers. NBC will televise the event. News that the Bay Area was expected to host the Super Bowl in 2026 was first reported last week by Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Journal. Trey Lance was the Week 1 starter but suffered a season-ending ankle injury during his second game. Eleven weeks later, Jimmy Garoppolo sustained a broken foot. The San Francisco 49ers entered the offseason with several questions after key figures, such as Jimmie Ward, Mike McGlinchey, Samson Ebukam, and Charles Omenihu, departed in free agency, creating the possibility for position battles in organized team activities(OTAs) and training camp.
