49ers schedule a visit with WR Chaz Schilens

According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, the San Francisco 49ers have a visit scheduled with Oakland free-agent wide receiver Chaz Schilens. Schilens is currently visiting with the Cardinals and is drawing interest from the New York Jets as well.

Schillens, who is 26, has spent four seasons with the Raiders and had 72 receptions for 902 yards and 7 touchdowns during that time.

49ers announce roster moves ahead of schedule release

The San Francisco 49ers officially announced the signings of defensive lineman Shakel Brown and offensive lineman Chris Hubbard to one-year deals. Both signings had been previously reported. To make room on the roster, the team waived defensive lineman Earnest Brown IV and offensive lineman Corey Luciano. The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown. Brown (6-3, 295) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. 2024 Schedule Tracker: Known 49ers Games for the Upcoming Season

The NFL will unveil the league's 272-game 2024 schedule tonight at 5:00 p.m. PT. It is common for select week-to-week opponent matchups to leak before the official announcement. I've created this tracker to collect those leaks as the official schedule release time approaches. As usual, the San Francisco 49ers will face each NFC West team twice. They will also play against the division champions from the NFC East, NFC South, and AFC West: the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Kansas City Chiefs, respectively. The NFL revealed its 272-game 2024 regular-season schedule on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. PT. NFL Kickoff Weekend will commence on Thursday, September 5. The season will culminate with Super Bowl 59 on February 9, 2025, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
