Quarterback help: 49ers sign McLeod Bethel-Thompson

According to Matt Barrows (@mattbarrows) of the Sacramento Bee, the San Francisco 49ers have signed some help at quarterback. The team picked up McLeod Bethel-Thompson from Sac State today.

Had they not signed some help, Colin Kaepernick would have been taking all the reps by himself tomorrow.

The San Francisco 49ers came in at No. 10 in ESPN's post-draft NFL power rankings. However, they did a little better in Pro Football Focus' power rankings, coming in one spot higher at No. 9. The San Francisco 49ers announced that they have signed tight end Troy Fumagalli to a one-year deal. To make room on the roster, the team waived tight end Garrett Walston.
