Matt Maiocco and Matt Barrows are reporting that free-agent quarterback David Carr (Giants) is meeting with the San Francisco 49ers team officials today and tomorrow.
Carr is expected to take a physical tomorrow and Maiocco feels that things "could move quickly from there."
Carr played in six games last season completing 21 of 33 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown.
Carr has been in the league for eight seasons and was a college standout with Fresno State. He has not started a game since 2007 with Carolina.
