Three 49ers rank in NFL's top 25 performance-based payouts

Three San Francisco 49ers players are receiving a nice little bonus for their on-field efforts during the 2022 NFL season. Safeties Tashaun Gipson and Talanoa Hufanga, and center Jake Brendel are among the NFL's top 25 performance-based pay distributions for this past season. The NFL Communications staff released the list on Friday morning. Gipson will receive a $708,106 bonus. The safety recently re-signed with the 49ers on a one-year deal. Hufanga will receive $703,926, and Brendel earns $643,691. NFL players will receive $336 million in performance-based pay. The performance-based pay program is a collectively bargained benefit that compensates all players based on their playing time and salary levels. Seven 49ers free agents still searching for an NFL team

The first week of NFL free agency is in the books, and there has been a lot of movement made by the San Francisco 49ers. The team added defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, quarterback Sam Darnold, and others to the roster. As is the case every year, departures are inevitable. Gone are some high-profile names like quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (Raiders) and tackle Mike McGlinchey (Broncos). Key players like cornerback Emmanuel Moseley (Lions) and offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill (Titans) have also found new NFL homes. Two NFL playoff teams praise 49ers CB Emmanuel Moseley

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Emmanuel Moseley didn't play much this past season, suffering a torn ACL in Week 5. However, it was enough to intrigue some NFL teams. Moseley is slated to become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday. Don't assume he will be an easy re-sign just because he is coming off a severe injury. According to Jordan Schultz of The Score, in talking with two playoff teams, it is clear that Moseley has earned some respect around the league. "Have spoken with two playoff teams today who like him," Schultz wrote. "I'm also told Moseley will be 100 percent ready for camp. CB Emmanuel Moseley signing one-year deal with Lions

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Detroit Lions have reached an agreement with free agent cornerback Emmanuel Moseley on a one-year, $6 million deal. That's a significant blow to the San Francisco 49ers' backfield. Moseley started 16 games for the Niners over the past two seasons.
