The 49ers' wide receiver room has undergone significant turnover this offseason. The team is expected to move on from Brandon Aiyuk, while Jauan Jennings is likely to sign elsewhere in free agency. Kendrick Bourne and Skyy Moore have already departed for new teams.
Additionally, second-year wideout Ricky Pearsall is coming off an injury-marred 2025 campaign.
However, the 49ers did add veterans Mike Evans and Christian Kirk in free agency. Still, the team is expected to continue bolstering the position through the draft.
Boston, a 6-foot-4, 212-pound receiver, fits the profile of a potential outside target in 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan's offense. He is coming off his most productive collegiate season in 2025, recording 62 receptions for 881 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Over four seasons at Washington, Boston totaled 132 receptions for 1,781 yards and 20 touchdowns. Notably, the bulk of that production came over the past two seasons, during which he posted 125 receptions for 1,715 yards and all 20 of his career touchdowns.
