Harkey (6-6, 327) played for Tyler Junior College, Colorado, Texas State, and Oregon during his collegiate career. Over the past four seasons, Harkey appeared in 42 games at the FBS level, according to Sports Reference.
Originally a tight end at the junior college level, Harkey later transitioned to the offensive line. In 2025, he started every game at right tackle for Oregon.
Analytics from Pro Football Focus show that Harkey's most productive season came in 2024 while at Texas State. That year, he earned an 85.8 overall offensive grade, an 84.5 run-blocking grade, and a 79.3 pass-blocking grade—each a career high.
In 2025, his grades dipped to 65.0 overall, 65.0 as a run blocker, and 74.0 in pass protection.
