The list of NFL teams interested in interviewing San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh for their head coaching vacancies continues to grow.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Miami Dolphins have requested an interview with Saleh, becoming the fifth team to do so. Miami joins the Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, and Atlanta Falcons in expressing interest in the veteran coach.

Saleh and the 49ers are currently preparing for their NFC Wild Card matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. He can begin interviewing with other teams after San Francisco's playoff game concludes.
When asked whether the increased interest from other NFL teams has become a distraction during the postseason, Saleh made it clear his focus remains on the task at hand.
"The league has done a really nice job with structuring the interview process to allow people to focus on the job at hand, so I haven't thought about any of it," Saleh told reporters this week. "I know things come in, but that's not something I have to deal with until next week, so I'm completely focused on Philly."
Saleh is in the first year of his second stint with the 49ers after being rehired last offseason. He previously served as San Francisco's defensive coordinator from 2017 through 2020 before being hired as the head coach of the New York Jets, a role he held from 2021 to 2024.
San Francisco's defense finished the regular season ranked 20th in total yards allowed and 13th in points allowed. The unit was hit hard by injuries, including the loss of All-Pros Fred Warner and Nick Bosa, yet the 49ers remained competitive down the stretch, finishing with a 12-5 record and earning a playoff berth.
