Rumor: Photos of 49ers new uniforms leaked?

Apr 21, 2009 at 8:15 AM--

Please note that this story is classified as a rumor as the authenticity of the jersey photos could not be determined.

A member of the forums has posted photos of what he claims to be the new design for the 49ers home jerseys. The complete design is officially scheduled to be unveiled on Saturday, April 25. The photos are claimed to have been taken at a Reebok/Addidas warehouse using a camera phone and appear to represent the new replica jerseys which will be made available to fans. They also very much resemble the leaked NFLShop.com photo that Examiner.com reported earlier this month.

The look of these jerseys resemble the design of the current throwbacks with two major differences. The numbers on the sleeves have been moved up to the shoulders and there appears to be some text (most likely the team name) above the front numbers on the chest.

Some fans have noted that the color appears to be the team's current darker red. However, that may be because of the quality of the camera and/or lighting.

Are these photos real? We'll find out in 4 days when the official unveiling takes place.

The 49ers were a 13-3 powerhouse in 2019, earning the #1 seed and a first-round bye, but this 2021 version, a 10-game winner and the 6th seed, may actually be better positioned to win it all than the 2019 squad. 49ers guard Laken Tomlinson focused on beating the Rams, not his contract situation

By David Bonilla

Laken Tomlinson has an opportunity to make a lot of money this offseason, putting his family in an even better situation. The San Francisco 49ers guard is scheduled to become a free agent during the upcoming offseason. There is no doubt that the team would like to retain one of its most consistent players. Tomlinson has started every game since Week 2 in 2017, the year San Francisco shipped a fifth-round draft pick to the Detroit Lions for the former No. 28 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. He'll likely earn a nice payday in the coming months. That isn't on his mind right now, though. Instead, Tomlinson and the 49ers are focused on making the playoffs. To do that, they have to pull off another regular-season sweep of the Los Angeles Rams on
