San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan offered injury updates on Tuesday as the team turns its attention to the regular-season finale against the Seattle Seahawks. The biggest concern coming out of Sunday night's win over the Chicago Bears was the status of left tackle Trent Williams.
Williams exited on the first offensive snap after suffering a hamstring injury, a play that ended in a pick-six by Chicago's defense. He was unable to return, and his postgame outlook was unclear, leaving his Week 18 availability in question.
Shanahan revealed that Williams will not practice on Tuesday. When asked how long the offensive lineman might be sidelined, the coach said, "No, we're not sure how long. Giving it a shot for this week, so we'll see."
Williams has started all 16 games this season after battling injuries last year. This marks his sixth season with the 49ers.
Christian McCaffrey dealing with a back issue
Running back Christian McCaffrey emerged from Sunday's game with a back issue, which will sideline him during Tuesday's practice.
"It's just stiff," Shanahan said.
He added, "I know he battled it about two weeks ago, just up to that game ... Hadn't heard anything about it since, so it might have stiffened up in the game. I know it was sore just from Sunday night, so that's why we got him on here (listed as not practicing) today."
The good news is that McCaffrey says his back stiffness is "not serious," suggesting he should be ready to go against the Seahawks.

Other injury notes
Shanahan added that fullback Kyle Juszczyk sustained a hip injury against the Bears and will not practice.
Defensive end Keion White, who left Sunday night's game with a groin injury, will not practice on Tuesday.
Cornerback Upton Stout is progressing through the concussion protocol after sustaining the injury against the Bears and will be limited in practice.
Tight end George Kittle, who missed Sunday's game with a low-ankle sprain after not practicing last week, will also be limited. When asked if Kittle practicing increases his chances of playing against the Seahawks, Shanahan cautioned against reading too much into it.
"I wouldn't assume that," the coach said. "I mean, we're barely moving today. It's a walkthrough, so [with] the short week we've got, we won't be doing much all week."
Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall continues to work through knee and ankle injuries and will be limited in practice. Defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos (knee) will also be limited.
Cornerback Renardo Green, who missed the past two games due to a neck injury, is a full participant.
