On Saturday, the San Francisco 49ers officially ruled out two players—linebacker Tatum Bethune and kicker Eddy Piñeiro—for Monday night's game against the Carolina Panthers. On Sunday, the team added another name to the list: defensive end Robert Beal Jr.
Beal, originally listed as doubtful, has been downgraded to out. He suffered a concussion during last week's win over the Arizona Cardinals and remains in the league's concussion protocol.
The 49ers may choose to elevate a player from the practice squad to bolster defensive line depth for the Week 12 matchup. Any roster move would come Monday afternoon, just hours before kickoff.
