The San Francisco 49ers worked out six defensive players on Tuesday, including two defensive linemen, as they continue to adjust following the loss of star pass rusher Nick Bosa.
Defensive back Shilo Sanders, the son of Hall of Fame defensive back Deion Sanders and older brother of Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, was among the group. Sanders signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent earlier this year but was waived during final roster cuts on August 26.
Tuesday tryout list:
- DE William Bradley-King
- DB Brandon Joseph
- DE Titus Leo
- DB Jaylen Mahoney
- DB Shilo Sanders
- LB Isaiah Thomas
According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the 49ers are signing William Bradley-King to the practice squad. The move comes after Bosa suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals. The veteran defensive end will undergo surgery to repair the injury and likely be placed on injured reserve in a future roster move.
The #49ers are signing DE William Bradley-King to practice squad. Was with the team in preseason. Former seventh-round pick of the #Commanders in 2021 who has also spent time with the #Patriots and #Dolphins.

Bradley-King is familiar with San Francisco, having spent part of training camp with the team before being released during the 53-man roster cutdown on August 26. He briefly rejoined the 49ers' practice squad but was released again on August 29.
A seventh-round pick by the Washington Commanders in 2021, Bradley-King has also spent time with the New England Patriots (2023) and Miami Dolphins (2024). In four career games, he has recorded seven tackles and 0.5 sacks.
The roster move is expected to become official ahead of Wednesday's practice.
