This week's San Francisco 49ers injury news following their Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks wasn't all negative. On Monday, head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters he wasn't overly concerned about wide receiver Jauan Jennings, who exited the game with a shoulder injury. An initial MRI showed no structural damage, and the team was awaiting the results of a CT scan.
On Tuesday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport provided an update on social media: "At this point, it does not appear Jauan Jennings' shoulder injury is serious. Some good injury news after a rough one on Monday."

Shanahan later confirmed that Jennings has a chance to suit up in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints.
Bigger concerns for the 49ers
While Jennings' outlook is encouraging, the 49ers face more serious issues elsewhere. Star tight end George Kittle suffered a hamstring injury that will sideline him for "a few weeks," according to Shanahan. Rapoport estimates the recovery window to be three to five weeks, leaving open the possibility that the tight end may land on the injured reserve list.

"When they tell me a few weeks, it's always a possibility," Shanahan said. "I mean, in order to do that, it's got to be a four-week injury, so I don't think we've decided on that yet."
Meanwhile, quarterback Brock Purdy is dealing with both a left shoulder issue and a toe injury, with the latter being the greater concern. His Week 2 status remains uncertain. If Purdy is unable to play against the Saints, backup Mac Jones would make his first start with San Francisco.
The 49ers also took a hit on the offensive line. Starting left guard Ben Bartch sustained a mild knee sprain and is considered day-to-day.
