EA Sports has officially revealed player ratings for Madden NFL 26, the latest installment of the iconic football video game franchise. San Francisco 49ers fans have plenty to celebrate, as five players landed among the top 10 at their respective positions.
Additionally, first-round draft pick Mykel Williams made an impressive debut with a 78 overall rating, ranking him among the top 10 rookies in the game.

Five 49ers players earned spots among the top 10 in their respective position groups.
Christian McCaffrey received a 94 overall rating, ranking No. 4 among running backs behind Saquon Barkley (99), Derrick Henry (98), and Jahmyr Gibbs (95). EA Sports clearly expects McCaffrey to rebound in 2025 after injuries limited him to just four games last season.
George Kittle leads all tight ends with a 98 overall rating. The next-highest-rated tight ends were Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals, each coming in with a 92 overall rating.
Trent Williams remains among the elite, ranking No. 2 among offensive linemen with a 97 overall rating, behind only Lane Johnson (99) of the Philadelphia Eagles. Even at 37 and coming off an ankle injury that cost him seven games in 2024, Williams continues to be viewed as one of the best at his position.
On defense, Nick Bosa ranks No. 5 among edge rushers with a 95 overall rating. Only Myles Garrett (99), Micah Parsons (98), T.J. Watt (96), and Maxx Crosby (96) received higher marks. Bosa looks to return to double-digit sack territory in 2025 after falling short for the first time since 2020. He is one of the lone holdovers from a significant defensive line overhaul this offseason.
Fred Warner continues his dominance as the NFL's best linebacker, topping his position group with a 97 overall rating, three points higher than Roquan Smith (94) of the Baltimore Ravens.
The strong ratings highlight the talent that remains on San Francisco's roster, even after massive offseason changes.
