San Francisco 49ers’ Full 2025 Schedule Revealed

The NFL unveiled its full 272-game schedule for the 2025 regular season on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. PT. The action begins with NFL Kickoff Weekend on Thursday, September 4, and will culminate with Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California—the home of the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers will open and close the regular season against the division-rival Seahawks, kicking off on the road in Week 1 and wrapping up at Levi's Stadium in Week 18. San Francisco's first home game is scheduled for Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals, with the team set to participate in five prime-time matchups this year.

The Niners' bye week will take place during Week 14.

San Francisco's 2025 opponents combined for a 120–169 record last season, resulting in a .415 winning percentage—the lowest in the NFL. That gives the 49ers the easiest strength of schedule (SOS) heading into the new season. It's a notable drop from last year's .505 SOS, which ranked as the 12th toughest in the league.

Preseason

Regular Season

This season, "flexible scheduling" for Sunday Night Football may be used up to twice between Weeks 5-10, and in the NFL's discretion during Weeks 11-17; for Monday Night Football at the NFL's discretion in Weeks 12-17; and for Thursday Night Football it may be used up to twice between Weeks 13-17. During these Flex Scheduling Windows, the games initially scheduled for Sunday Night Football (on NBC), Monday Night Football (on ESPN or ABC), and Thursday Night Football (on Amazon Prime Video) are tentatively scheduled and subject to change. Only Sunday afternoon games (or those listed as TBD) are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, Monday night, or Thursday Night, in which case the initially scheduled Thursday/Sunday/Monday night game would be moved to Sunday afternoon. Sunday afternoon games may also be moved between 10:00 a.m. and 1:05 p.m. or 1:25 p.m. PT.

As in prior seasons, for Week 18, the final weekend of the season, the scheduling of the Saturday, Sunday afternoon, and the Sunday night games is not assigned. In Week 18, two games will be played on Saturday (1:30 p.m. PT and 5 p.m. PT), with the remainder to be played on Sunday afternoon (10:00 a.m. PT and 1:25 p.m. PT) and one matchup to be played on Sunday night (5:20 p.m. PT).

Specific dates, start times, and networks for Week 18 matchups will be determined and announced following the conclusion of Week 17.

A Closer Look at the 2025 Schedule…

• San Francisco will open the regular season on the road (at Seattle) for the fourth time in five seasons and for the first time since visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 of the 2023 season.
• The 49ers open the season on the road against an NFC West opponent for the first time since the 2010 season when they visited Seattle in Week 1.
• The Niners open the season against an NFC West opponent for the first time since the 2020 season when they hosted the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1.

Week 1 – Sunday, September 7 at Seattle – 1:05 p.m. PT on FOX

• San Francisco opens the season against Seattle for the third time in series history and for the first time since the 2011 season [W, 33-17 vs. Sea. (9/11/11)].
• The 49ers are 23-31 all-time against the Seahawks, including an 11-17 record on the road.
• The Niners look for their fourth-consecutive victory at Lumen Field, which would mark the longest road winning streak against the Seahawks in series history.

Week 2 – Sunday, September 14 at New Orleans – 10:00 a.m. PT on FOX

• San Francisco owns the overall series record against New Orleans 50-27-2, including a 26-15 record on the road.
• The Niners have won four of the previous seven regular season matchups between the two teams, including the last time they met in the 2022 season [W, 13-0 vs. NO (11/27/22)].
• The 49ers travel to New Orleans for the first time since the 2020 season and look to earn their first win at Caesars Superdome since their 48-46 victory against the Saints in 2019.

Week 3 – Sunday, September 21 vs. Arizona – 1:25 p.m. PT on FOX

• San Francisco owns the overall series record vs. Arizona 36-31, including a 20-15 record at home.
• The Niners have won two of their last three matchups against the Cardinals at Levi's Stadium.
• The 49ers look for their first home victory against the Cardinals since the 2023 season [W, 35-16 vs. Arz. (10/1/23)].
• San Francisco looks for their fourth-consecutive victory in the home opener.

Week 4 – Sunday, September 28 vs. Jacksonville – 1:05 p.m. PT on FOX

• San Francisco leads the all-time series against Jacksonville, 5-2, including a 2-0 record at home.
• The 49ers have won each of the previous five matchups against the Jaguars.
• San Francisco hosts Jacksonville at Levi's Stadium for the first time since the 2017 season, when they defeated the Jaguars 44-33 [vs. Jax. (12/24/17)].

Week 5 – Thursday, October 2 at Los Angeles Rams – 5:15 p.m. PT on Prime Video

• San Francisco owns the overall series record vs. the Los Angeles Rams, 78-71-3, including a 40-35-1 record on the road.
• The Niners will face the Rams on Thursday Night Football for the fifth time in series history and for the first time in consecutive seasons.
• The 49ers will play at SoFi Stadium on TNF for the first time.
• The 49ers have won seven of the last nine regular season matchups on the road against the Rams since their return to Los Angeles in 2016.

Week 6 – Sunday, October 12 at Tampa Bay – 10:00 a.m. PT on CBS

• San Francisco leads the all-time series against Tampa Bay 21-7, including a 7-4 record on the road.
• San Francisco will play Tampa Bay in the regular season for the fourth-consecutive season for the first time since the 1977-1980 seasons.
• The 49ers visit the Buccaneers in consecutive seasons for the first time since the 2018 and 2019 seasons and look for their fifth-consecutive victory against the team.
• The Niners have won seven of the last 10 meetings between the two teams.

Week 7 – Sunday, October 19 vs. Atlanta – 5:20 p.m. PT on NBC

• San Francisco leads the all-time series against Atlanta, 48-33-1, including a 29-12 record at home.
• It marks the first time the 49ers have hosted the Falcons since the 2021 season [W, 31-13 vs. Atl. (12/19/21)].
• The 49ers face the Falcons on Sunday Night Football for the second time in series history (12/19/82).
• The 49ers are 4-2 against the Falcons in prime time, with their most recent victory coming in the 2013 season [W, 34-24 vs. Atl. (12/23/13)].

Week 8 – Sunday, October 26 at Houston – 10:00 a.m. PT on FOX

• San Francisco is 4-1 all-time against the Houston Texans, including a 1-1 record on the road.
• The 49ers look to earn their fourth-consecutive victory against the Texans and the first since defeating the Texans 23-7 at Levi's Stadium on January 2, 2022.

Week 9 – Sunday, November 2 at New York Giants – 10:00 a.m. PT on CBS

• San Francisco is 22-21 all-time against the New York Giants with a 9-11 record on the road.
• The Niners will face the Giants in the regular season for the first time since 2023 [W, 30-12 vs. NYG (9/21/23)].
• The 49ers look to earn their third-consecutive overall victory against the Giants and their second-consecutive road win after beating the Giants on their last trip to New York in 2020, 36-9 [at NYG (9/27/20)].

Week 10 – Sunday, November 9 vs. Los Angeles Rams – 1:25 p.m. PT on FOX

• San Francisco owns a 38-36-2 record at home against the Los Angeles Rams.

Week 12 – Monday, November 24 vs. Carolina – 5:15 p.m. PT on ESPN

• San Francisco is 10-13 in the all-time series vs. Carolina, including a 4-7 mark at home.

Week 14 – Sunday, December 7 – BYE

• This marks the first time since BYE Weeks were introduced in 1990 that the 49ers have had their BYE Week in Week 14.

Week 15 – Sunday, December 14 vs. Tennessee – 1:25 p.m. PT on FOX

• San Francisco is 9-6 in the all-time series vs. Tennessee, including a 4-3 record at home.
• The Niners have won six of the previous 10 matchups against the Titans.
• The 49ers host the Titans at Levi's Stadium for the second time and the first since the 2017 season [W, 25-23 vs. Ten. (12/17/17)].
• San Francisco is looking for their fourth-consecutive victory coming off the BYE Week.

Week 16 – Monday, December 22 at Indianapolis – 5:15 p.m. PT on ESPN

• San Francisco is 18-27 all-time against Indianapolis, including a 7-15 mark on the road.
• The Niners will face the Colts in prime time for the second time in franchise history and the first since October 24, 2021.

• It marks the first time the 49ers have hosted the Bears in consecutive regular seasons since the 1978-79 seasons.
• The 49ers have won six of their previous 10 matchups with the Bears.
• The Niners will play in prime time games in back-to-back weeks for the first time since Weeks 10-11 of the 2022 season.

Week 18 – Saturday or Sunday, January 3 or 4 vs. Seattle

• San Francisco owns a 12-14 record at home against Seattle.
• The Niners have won five of the previous 10 regular season matchups against the Seahawks, including two of the last three home matchups.
• The 49ers and Seahawks will meet in the final week of the regular season for the fifth time in series history.
