NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to host Texas A&M defensive end Shemar Stewart on a pre-draft visit in Santa Clara as the team continues to finalize its evaluations. The visit will likely take place over the weekend or next week, coinciding with the bulk of the 49ers' top-30 visits.
Texas A&M edge Shemar Stewart, whose Combine workouts helped him to be considered a top pick, has a visit today with the #Patriots, source said. After New England, Stewart has the #49ers and #Bears.

In 2024, Stewart appeared in 12 games and totaled 31 tackles (six for a loss), 1.5 sacks, two passes defensed, and one forced fumble, per Sports Reference.
He earned career-best defensive grades of 79.5 (overall) and 88.2 (run defense) from Pro Football Focus while generating a career-high 39 quarterback pressures. However, his 44.7 tackling grade highlights an area that still needs development.
Over three seasons at Texas A&M, Stewart accumulated 65 tackles (12 for a loss), 4.5 sacks, four passes defensed, a touchdown, and one forced fumble—posting 1.5 sacks in each of his three collegiate campaigns.
The 49ers are retooling their defensive front this offseason following the departures of Javon Hargrave, Maliek Collins, and Leonard Floyd. Reinforcements are expected to come through the 2025 NFL Draft.
San Francisco previously met with Stewart at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, where he recorded a 4.59-second 40-yard dash, a 40-inch vertical jump, and a 10-foot-11 broad jump. His athleticism earned a Next Gen Stats score of 84, ranking fourth among edge rushers.
