The San Francisco 49ers announced they have signed wide receiver Robbie Chosen to a one-year deal. To make room on the roster, the team has waived/injured wide receiver Frank Darby, who suffered a hamstring injury in the preseason opener against the Tennessee Titans.
"Blessed and thankful," Chosen said via a text message to NFL insider Josina Anderson regarding signing with the 49ers. "Dream come true; more to become. This is an opportunity to be apart of greatness and go win a Super Bowl. There's greatness all around me here, from what's been done, what exists and will be the future."
The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown.
