Two San Francisco 49ers players have emerged as finalists for multiple highly-coveted NFL awards. Quarterback Brock Purdy and running back Christian McCaffrey are both in contention for the league's MVP award, standing alongside Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

At present, Jackson is considered the frontrunner for the MVP award.

McCaffrey has also secured a spot among the finalists for the AP Offensive Player of the Year award. In this category, he is joined by Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Cowboys wide receiver Ceedee Lamb, and Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

McCaffrey is widely regarded as the frontrunner for this prestigious honor.

Additionally, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan finds himself among the finalists for the AP Coach of the Year award. He shares this honor with John Harbaugh of the Ravens, DeMeco Ryans of the Houston Texans, Kevin Stefanski of the Cleveland Browns, and Dan Campbell of the Detroit Lions.

The 49ers finished the regular season with a 12-5 record, earning the top seed in the NFC and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Purdy set a new franchise record for the most passing yards in a single season with 4,280. His stat line also included 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, earning an NFL-leading 113.0 passer rating.

McCaffrey led the NFL in rushing yards (1,459) and scrimmage yards (2,023), and his 21 total touchdowns tied for the most in the league.

The award winners will be announced at NFL Honors on February 8.
