The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Divisional Round playoff contest against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The 49ers look poised to get defensive tackle Arik Armstead back in time for their first playoff game. He practiced last week and continues to do so this week, albeit as a limited participant. Armstead has yet to appear in a game since December 3.
Safety
George Odum, who remains on the injured reserve list, is attempting to return from a torn biceps and was also a limited participant.
Sitting out practice were defensive end Clelin Ferrell, linebacker
Dre Greenlaw, and safety
Logan Ryan. However, head coach
Kyle Shanahan is hopeful that Greenlaw and Ryan should be able to practice on Wednesday, while Ferrell is
not expected to play against the Packers.
Below are Tuesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Packers, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff. It's worth noting that Green Bay's report is an estimated rundown since the Packers did not practice on Tuesday.

49ers' Fred Warner addresses Armstead's departure, Greenlaw's recovery, Super Bowl window
The news of Arik Armstead's departure from the San Francisco 49ers after nine seasons with the team shocked linebacker Fred Warner. Armstead, a former first-round pick, was an impactful force on the football field. However, his availability over the last two seasons forced the 49ers to reevaluate his contract, and when his salary could not be significantly reduced, the two sides parted ways.
"Huge surprise," Warner said of learning that Armstead was being released. "Ever since I've been here, we called him the blueprint for how to be a Niner. That was the longest-tenured Niner that's been here and a guy that's done it right through and through."
Warner has been in the NFL long enough to understand how the league works. Over the years, he's watched several
John Lynch, Kyle Shanahan didn't entertain trade offers, 'thrilled' with 49ers' receiver group
San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan addressed reporters after the second day of the 2024 NFL Draft. Naturally, they were asked about any trade discussions the team might have had during the draft so far.
Speculation arose that the 49ers might consider trading wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel. Samuel's name was the focus of trade rumors heading into Day 2. Lynch affirmed that they did not entertain any offers.
"We're happy with our wide receiver group," Lynch said. "Actually, more than happy. We're really thrilled with it and thrilled to have added [Florida WR] Ricky [Pearsall] to that group and even make it stronger."
When asked if the 49ers intend to keep Aiyuk and Samuel on the roster this season,
John Lynch, Kyle Shanahan explain why the 49ers didn't draft a tackle or tight end
Offensive tackle was considered one of the San Francisco 49ers' primary needs entering the 2024 NFL Draft, given Trent Williams' age and Colton McKivitz's inconsistent play. Many felt the team might even use their first-round pick, No. 31 overall, to address the position.
Despite adding two rookie offensive linemen (Kansas G Dominick Puni and USC G Jarrett Kingston), general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan opted not to select a tackle.

Patriots among teams that looked into trading for 49ers WR Deebo Samuel
Numerous NFL teams reportedly reached out to the San Francisco 49ers before and during the draft to inquire about the team's star wide receivers, Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel. Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports that the New England Patriots were among the teams that had "preliminary trade discussions" about Samuel.
"In general, when teams explore potential transactions with other clubs, finding middle ground on compensation can be challenging," wrote Anderson. "There are always many considerable factors on why the price should possibly be one thing, or another."
