The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 16 contest against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Saturday Practice Notes
Arik Armstead remains sidelined from practice due to ongoing foot and knee injuries. Also absent from the Saturday session were wide receiver
Jauan Jennings, who remains in the concussion protocol, along with linebacker Oren Burks and tight end
Ross Dwelley.
On a positive note, defensive tackle
Javon Hargrave participated in practice for the second consecutive game after missing last weekend's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Additionally, running back
Elijah Mitchell practiced again and looks on track to be active on Monday night.

The news of Arik Armstead's departure from the San Francisco 49ers after nine seasons with the team shocked linebacker Fred Warner. Armstead, a former first-round pick, was an impactful force on the football field. Numerous NFL teams reportedly reached out to the San Francisco 49ers before and during the draft to inquire about the team's star wide receivers, Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel. Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports that the New England Patriots were among the teams that had "preliminary trade discussions" about Samuel.
"In general, when teams explore potential transactions with other clubs, finding middle ground on compensation can be challenging," wrote Anderson. "There are always many considerable factors on why the price should possibly be one thing, or another."

Brandon Aiyuk isn't the only San Francisco 49ers player being mentioned in trade chatter around the NFL. According to Michael Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle, several teams are also reaching out to inquire about the availability of wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
"In the course of trade conversations about Brandon Aiyuk, numerous teams are inquiring about fellow 49ers WR Deebo Samuel's availability," Silver reports. "The 49ers would likely have to be blown away by the offer to make that move. Fluid situation, though."

On Wednesday, Chat Sports contributor Chase Senior reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers were "aggressively pursuing" San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. He further stated that the Steelers are confident they can finalize a deal for the star player.
