San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan addressed reporters after his team's 28-16 victory over the Seattle Seahawks, offering several injury updates from the game.
The good news is that Dre Greenlaw's hip injury doesn't seem to be a long-term concern. The linebacker left in the third quarter but returned in the fourth.
Cornerback Charvarius Ward exited during Seattle's first offensive drive and did not return. He suffered a groin injury.
Linebacker Oren Burks sustained a knee injury in the second half, while Javon Hargrave suffered a hamstring injury and did not return.
When asked if the 49ers are concerned about any of the injuries potentially being long-term issues, Shanahan responded, "No. I mean Ward, not sure. We just have to look into it because he's had some stuff like it in his past, so we're not quite sure. Oren was able to still play."
The 49ers reportedly agreed to terms with cornerback Jason Verrett, who will join the team's practice squad. This could be significant if Ward is dealing with an injury that will keep him sidelined.
Shanahan added, "Hargrave is a hamstring, so I'm assuming he pulled it, but we got to find out for sure. You never know with the D-linemen how long they'll be out on that, but we'll know a little bit more tomorrow."
