The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 12 contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.

Tuesday was the 49ers' only full practice of the week. It was held inside Levi's Stadium, which has the necessary lighting to accommodate a night practice. While the team will hold a walk-through on Wednesday, the media will not have access to that session.

Guard Aaron Banks returned to practice as a limited participant. The offensive lineman has been dealing with a turf toe injury that has forced him to miss the last two games. Head coach Kyle Shanahan remains optimistic that banks has a chance to play on Thursday.

Guard Spencer Burford has been dealing with a knee injury and did not practice.

When asked if the Burford injury is a long-term setback, Shanahan responded, "I think he would be all right if he played Sunday but it's a question here [with the game] on Thursday and he can't go today, so it's worrisome."

Head coach Kyle Shanahan noted that Burford's chances of playing would be better if the 49ers were preparing for a Sunday game. However, with a short week, Burford's status is currently uncertain, with the coach describing it as "worrisome."

The 49ers signed offensive lineman Ben Bartch off the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad ahead of the Tuesday practice.

Cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles sustained a shoulder injury on Sunday against the Buccaneers and was a limited practice participant. Additionally, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave and wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud were also limited due to injuries.

Below are Tuesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Seahawks, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.

Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw are arguably the best linebacker duo in the NFL, serving as the heart of the San Francisco 49ers defense while sharing a strong bond. Therefore, it's no surprise that Warner felt deeply for his teammate and friend when Greenlaw suffered a torn Achilles in the second quarter of Super Bowl 58 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The following video captures Warner's raw emotional response after Greenlaw was carted off the field, revealing the profound anguish experienced by the star linebacker, even as teammate Nick Bosa attempted to console him. Report suggests 2024 salary cap could near $250 million

By David Bonilla
Feb 19

Speculation surrounding the 2024 salary cap indicates that it might be in the area of $242 million. That's the number that salary-cap site has been working with, which, according to their estimations, puts the San Francisco 49ers about $12.38 over the projected cap. The team could obviously use more wiggle room to sign wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk to a long-term deal. San Francisco may need to either restructure the contracts of some high-priced stars or make some difficult roster decisions to make that happen. RELATED: Graziano: Salary cap situation may
