McCaffrey had been sidelined for the entire week due to an oblique injury sustained in last weekend's game against the Cleveland Browns.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Deebo Samuel has been working through a shoulder issue. Tackle Trent Williams suffered an ankle injury early in the game but played through the pain. Neither was seen at the start of practice.
