The San Francisco 49ers have kicked off their Friday practice, the last of the week before Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. Reporters didn't see wide receivers Deebo Samuel or Jauan Jennings at the start of practice, hurting the chances of either suiting up this weekend.

However, Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group did note that Samuel was seen on a side field with a trainer, so that's something. The 49ers will release their official game status report after Friday's practice.

Samuel has been working through rib and knee injuries sustained in last week's win over the New York Giants. The receiver has not practiced this week. Jennings has also missed this week's practices as he recovers from a shin injury.

On Thursday, speaking on KNBR, head coach Kyle Shanahan said Samuel and Jennings would be questionable for this weekend's game against Arizona. During his own Friday morning radio interview, general manager John Lynch suggested that his ailing receivers' Week 4 availability remains uncertain.

"Deebo and Jauan have not practiced this week," Lynch said on KNBR. "So today, in those instances, Friday becomes a big deal. And oftentimes, when we will rule people out if they're not out there, if they can go function on a Friday, at times that will lead us all the way to game time."

The good news is that Brandon Aiyuk continues to practice. The receiver missed last week's game due to a shoulder injury. He appears to be trending towards being available against the Cardinals.
