The NFL world was hit with brutal news on Monday night when Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb suffered a gruesome knee injury that will keep him out for the remainder of the 2023 season, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Chubb, one of the premier running backs in the NFL, was placed on Injured Reserve Wednesday, and has received an outpour of support from his fellow NFL peers following the horrific injury, including from San Francisco 49ers wideout Deebo Samuel.
Samuel, who appeared on the "Up and Adams" show with Kay Adams on Tuesday, offered his prayers to the injured running back, especially given his injury history in the past, dating back to his days with the Georgia Bulldogs.
"I mean, it's tough," Samuel said. "It kind of made me cringe a little bit, knowing what Chubb has dealt with in the past with the knee injury. I kind of met him when I was coming out because he was signed to the same marketing agent that I was signed with. And just to hear what he's dealt with, and nobody wanted to see that happen."
"It's just like all prayers to him, and we wish him well. And hopefully, have a good recovery and get back out there on the field one of these days."
Chubb was drafted in the second round with the Cleveland Browns, and has rushed for over 1,000 yards in every season of his career, except for a rookie campaign where he earned 996 yards.

It's not often that a player can back up copious amounts of trash talk the way Deebo Samuel did against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but that's exactly what happened during the critical beatdown the 49ers unleashed on the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.
Samuel was among multiple 49ers players who expressed confidence over the offseason that the result in last season's NFC Championship game, won 31-7 by the Eagles, would have been different had quarterback Brock Purdy not suffered a season-ending elbow injury during the contest. No one was more vocal on that front than Samuel, who said things like "We lost because we played with ten people" while adding that the

The eagerly awaited Week 13 clash between the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles is on the horizon. Following a Thanksgiving roasting of the Seattle Seahawks, the 49ers returned to the field on Monday for a bonus practice, gearing up for the NFC Championship Game rematch.
Wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk addressed reporters after practice, downplaying the emotional significance of Sunday's showdown between NFC powerhouses. Both players, vocal about their disappointment after last season's devastating defeat, had previously suggested that the better team failed to come out on top.
Regarding the upcoming rematch, Samuel told reporters,

This Sunday features one of the most anticipated matchups of the season. The San Francisco 49ers (8-3) will travel to face the Philadelphia Eagles (10-1) in a rematch of last season's NFC Championship Game. The Eagles are riding a five-game winning streak, while the 49ers have won three straight since stumbling through October.
Fans have had the Week 13 matchup circled on their calendars since the schedule was released in May.
"We know everybody's going to be riled up for this game, and we just got to stay level-headed and just go out there and play Niner football," wide receiver Deebo Samuel told Kay Adams on Tuesday morning.
Any loss leaves a bitter taste, but a playoff loss is particularly devastating. Samuel, who has been to the NFC Championship
