During the 2023 season, seven NFL teams will travel more miles than it takes to go around the world. Bookies.com recently broke down how much each team will travel throughout the 2023 season, and the San Francisco 49ers came in at No. 2 on the list. Only the Seattle Seahawks are slated to log more miles.
Below is a breakdown of the travel miles for all 32 NFL teams during the 2023 regular season and how many times they will cross into a new time zone. By comparison, the 49ers ranked eighth on the list in 2022.

The numbers above include mileage for teams participating in the NFL's five international games. The fact that the 49ers will log among the most travel miles is impressive, considering the team will not participate in any international games. No West Coast team is slated to travel overseas in 2023.
San Francisco will likely try to cut down on some of that travel by requesting that at least two East Coast matchups be scheduled in back-to-back weeks, as they have done in previous years. That will allow the 49ers to remain on that side of the country between those contests. In 2022, the Niners stayed and practiced in West Virginia between their Weeks 5 and 6 games against the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons.
The NFL releases its 272-game 2023 regular-season schedule on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. PT. NFL Kickoff Weekend will begin on Thursday, September 7, culminating with Super Bowl 58 on February 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
