DeMeco Ryans has a packed schedule this week, and that's outside of preparing for Sunday's playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. The San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator is a hot name in head coaching searches. He is slated to interview with the Denver Broncos on Thursday and the Houston Texans on Friday, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Those aren't the only teams Ryans will speak with ahead of this weekend's elimination game. According to Rapoport's colleague, Tom Pelissero, the coach will interview with the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts this week too.

The Carolina Panthers have also expressed interest in Ryans but aren't expected to host the 49ers defensive coordinator at this time. The Charlotte Observer reports that "logistics" is the reason for the Panthers stalling on Ryans.

"Both parties could circle back later in the process," wrote Mike Kaye.

Last offseason, Ryans turned down a second interview with the Minnesota Vikings, opting to remain with the 49ers for another year. Ryans feels he's ready to make the leap from coordinator to head coach this year.

"Yeah, I'm ready to go do it," Ryans recently told ESPN. "... It'll be the first time. But I figured out everything else. I'm pretty sure I'll figure that out, too."

Feliciano is scheduled to count about $2.28 million against the 2024 salary cap, while Flannigan-Fowles is slated to consume almost $1.3 million. The linebacker's reduced impact is due to the 49ers using a portion of up to $1.45 million of salary that won't count against the salary cap for veteran players. The 49ers are paying Feliciano a
