The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 13 contest against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Arik Armstead participated in his third consecutive practice, including last Friday's session. The defensive lineman is close to returning to the football field. He has not played since Week 4 due to foot and ankle injuries.

After practice, Armstead told reporters that he plans to play against the Dolphins. That's fantastic news for the NFL's No. 1 ranked defense.

Running back Christian McCaffrey joined practice for the first time this week. He missed Wednesday's session due to "some irritation" in his knee. After practice, McCaffrey told reporters, "I feel great," essentially indicating that he, too, intends to be on the field on Sunday against the Dolphins.

Defensive end Charles Omenihu returned to practice after missing Wednesday's session due to a knee issue. Guard Spencer Burford also returned to practice. He could not join his teammates on Wednesday after suffering an ankle sprain against the New Orleans Saints.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel did not practice after being limited on Wednesday due to a quad injury.

Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Dolphins, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.

The win was also the ninth straight regular season win over the Rams, who put up a fight for much of the game before the 49ers took over late. Things weren't going all that well in the first half for the 49ers, who were trailing 17-10 in the second quarter before a couple of key decisions from head coach Kyle Shanahan helped turn the tide. We're going to talk about those moments in this edition of 49ers Notebook, as well as a run-in that Christian McCaffrey had with a former 49er, a weird encounter between Deebo Samuel and a fan, and more. San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan jumped on a conference call with reporters on Friday afternoon, the day after the team's 30-12 win over the New York Giants. Shanahan provided several injury updates. Linebackers Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles and Dre Greenlaw emerged from Thursday night's game with low-ankle sprains. Both are day-to-day. The good news is that players have some extra time off before returning to work on Monday, when the 49ers begin preparing for the Arizona Cardinals. The only other player who was banged up in the Week 3 contest is wide receiver Deebo Samuel. The 49ers initially feared a rib injury, but

By Rohan Chakravarthi

The NFL world was hit with brutal news on Monday night when Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb suffered a gruesome knee injury that will keep him out for the remainder of the 2023 season, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Chubb, one of the premier running backs in the NFL, was placed on Injured Reserve Wednesday, and has received an outpour of support from his fellow NFL peers following the horrific injury, including from San Francisco 49ers wideout Deebo Samuel. Samuel, who appeared on the "Up and Adams" show with Kay Adams on Tuesday, offered his prayers to the injured running back, especially given his injury history in the past, dating back to his days with the Georgia Bulldogs. "I mean, it's tough," Samuel said. "It kind of made me

Brandon Aiyuk was inactive on Thursday night in the San Francisco 49ers' game against the New York Giants. The wide receiver has been dealing with a shoulder injury. Some feared that the Niners' other star wideout might also be ailing. After a catch in the second half of the game, wide receiver Deebo Samuel was slow to get up and was examined on the sideline in the medical tent. He re-entered the game and even caught a touchdown after the injury. After the game, Kyle Shanahan indicated that Samuel had sustained a rib injury.
