Dec 1, 2022 at 7:05 AM--

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for November.

Bosa totaled 10 tackles, five tackles for loss, and three sacks in November. He was part of a 49ers defense that held their opponent to 16 or fewer points in each of their three games during the month. Bosa is one of two NFC players to record a sack in each game from Weeks 10-12.

This is the second Defensive Player of the Month award for Bosa. He earned the award rookie in October of 2019. Bosa becomes the second 49ers player ever to earn multiple Defensive Player of the Month honors, joining Pro Football Hall of Famer Charles Haley.

Bosa becomes the first-ever player from Ohio State to win two Player of the Month awards. At least one former Buckeye has been named Player of the Month in each of the past four seasons.

The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Divisional round to advance to the NFC Championship Game next weekend, winning in a 19-12 bout after holding their opponent scoreless over the last 11 minutes of the game. However, their win came without a sack from their star defensive end Nick Bosa, who has now gone without a sack in two consecutive weeks for the first time since Weeks 16 and 17 of the 2021 season, playoffs included. Bosa had only gone three games without a sack in the regular season, but has now missed a sack in two consecutive games, including a zero-pressure game against the Seahawks last weekend. But, zero sacks don't mean zero impact, and Bosa believed that his performance was a good one following San Francisco's

Every year, we poll 49ers Webzone fans to determine the San Francisco 49ers' most valuable player in the eyes of The Faithful. This season's MVP was probably clear even before the voting started. Although, there was a chance that Christian McCaffrey, the star running back acquired from the Carolina Panthers ahead of the trade deadline, could steal away a significant number of the votes, and he did. Still, defensive end Nick Bosa's dominant 2022 campaign was enough to solidify his lead among 49ers teammates. The star pass rusher earned over 43 percent of the fans from fans. McCaffrey came in second with nearly 29 percent of the votes, while rookie quarterback Brock Purdy earned almost 21 percent. Our fans have chosen an MVP

By David Bonilla

The San Francisco 49ers know Sunday might be the toughest test of the season. The team will face the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game at Lincoln Financial Field. A win means returning to the Super Bowl for the second time in four years. "I expect it to be a battle all the way through," linebacker Fred Warner told reporters on Wednesday. "Both the Cowboys and Eagles are physical and talented teams who are really fast and have a lot of talent. Just like it was a battle this past week (against Dallas), I'm expecting that, if not more, this week, them being in their home stadium, home crowd behind them. They're going to be juiced up, ready to go." The 49ers finished the season with the top-ranked defense. The Eagles defense wasn't far behind. San
