The San Francisco 49ers are playing the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High. The Niners entered the matchup without defensive lineman
Arik Armstead (foot), offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill (hamstring), running back
Tyrion Davis-Price (ankle), and tight end Tyler Kroft (knee). All four were among the
six inactive players for the 49ers.
Below are the 49ers-Broncos in-game injury updates.
LB Azeez Al-Shaair (knee, out)
Azeez Al-Shaair left the game with just over four minutes left in the first half. The 49ers announced that he suffered a knee injury and is questionable to return.
Update: Al-Shaair has been ruled out of the remainder of the game. After the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan said the linebacker likely suffered an MCL sprain.
T Trent Williams (ankle, out)
Trent Williams was shaken up in the third quarter on the play that saw quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo throw the football after stepping out of the back of the end zone, resulting in a safety.
The cart was brought out for Williams, but the veteran tackle declined the ride and walked slowly to the locker room with some assistance.
Update: The 49ers later ruled out Williams. After the game, Shanahan said the tackle likely suffered a high-ankle sprain.

Rapoport: 49ers send clear message to teams inquiring about Brandon Aiyuk
Ian Rapoport didn't offer much of an update on the ongoing contract negotiations between the San Francisco 49ers and their standout wide receiver, Brandon Aiyuk. However, the NFL insider emphasized one thing: The team is not entertaining trade discussions at this juncture.
Reacting to Aiyuk's decision to unfollow the 49ers on Instagram, Rapoport couldn't help but chuckle at the latest development. This practice has become commonplace among players who are unhappy with their contract situations. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel similarly took this action in 2022 before requesting to be traded just before the draft.
Things have yet to escalate that far with Aiyuk, but Rapoport sees his
