We knew the basic breakdown of Jimmy Garoppolo's restructured one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers. His base salary went down from $24.2 million to $6.5 million with roster and play-time incentives that could increase the value to nearly $16 million.
The 49ers have officially filed Garoppolo's contract with the NFL and NFLPA. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network shared the following details.
- $6.5 million fully guaranteed base salary
- $500,000 total in per-game roster bonuses ($29k per game active)
- $250,000 for each game he takes 25% or more of the offensive snaps
- Another $100,000 for each of those games the team wins
- $500,000 for one playoff game he takes 50% or more of the offensive snaps
- $500,000 for 50% or more of the offensive snaps in the conference championship game
- $500,000 if he wins the conference championship
- $1 million if he takes 50% or more of the offensive snaps in the Super Bowl
- $15.45 million maximum value
- No-trade clause
- No-franchise-tag clause
