49ers Notebook: More video from OTAs; Deebo Samuel, other players attend Warriors playoff game

May 26, 2022 at 7:35 PM--

The San Francisco 49ers started organized team activities (OTAs) this week. Unfortunately, the media has only had access to Tuesday's session, missing out on Monday and Thursday's practices. The good news is that the team has been posting videos from this week's on-field action and did so again on Thursday.

Below are two videos the 49ers posted on Thursday, which should satisfy fans at least a little bit. They feature prominent names like quarterback Trey Lance, tight end George Kittle, wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, and newcomers like wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud, among several others.

The 49ers also released several photos from this week's practices.

Players return to the practice field on Tuesday, May 31.

49ers watching the Warriors

Several 49ers players were on hand for Thursday night's NBA playoff game at Chase Center between the Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors. Kittle, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, and linebacker Oren Burks were among the group.

Deebo Samuel also in attendance

For those wondering about the reports of Deebo Samuel being back in the Bay Area, the wide receiver was also in attendance for the basketball game. He sat courtside with cornerback Jason Verrett, and was first spotted by Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group.

Arik Armstead calls Warriors' championship 'inspiring,' hopes 49ers can replicate success

The San Francisco 49ers have come close to hoisting the franchise's sixth Vince Lombardi Trophy. They fell just short during the 2012 season, losing 34-31 to the Baltimore Ravens. Seven years later, they fell short again, collapsing in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl and watching as the Kansas City Chiefs celebrated a championship. Last season, the 49ers were a play or two away from returning to sports' biggest stage, falling to the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams in the NFC title game. San Francisco can't get over the hump. On Monday, the Bay Area celebrated the Golden State Warriors' seventh championship as thousands of fans swarmed Market Street for the parade. It's an inspiring sight for the championship-hungry 49ers. "Yeah,

Bleacher Report: 49ers probably regret not extending Deebo Samuel earlier

Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox recently listed one offseason regret for each NFL team (h/t Niners Noise). That regret for the Kansas City Chiefs was letting Charvarius Ward depart. In March, the cornerback signed a three-year, $40.5 million deal with the San Francisco 49ers, forcing the Chiefs to use a first-round pick on Trent McDuffie. What about the regret for the 49ers, though? Is it the complicated situation with Jimmy Garoppolo, the veteran quarterback they would love to trade but can't? Is it not directly shooting

George Kittle wishes the 49ers didn't delay Deebo Samuel extension

Earlier this week, Bleacher Report listed what it believes is the one offseason regret for each NFL team. For the San Francisco 49ers, it was the team not locking wide receiver Deebo Samuel to a contract extension earlier—before the receiver market exploded earlier in the offseason and Samuel requested to be traded. One 49ers star wishes his team had taken care of Samuel earlier, avoiding the offseason drama altogether. Samuel reported to the team's mandatory minicamp earlier this month but didn't participate in the on-field work. "Hindsight is 20-20, right?" tight end George Kittle said this week on the

49ers' Deebo Samuel, George Kittle among PFF's top offensive duos

By David Bonilla

The San Francisco 49ers would probably love to see Brandon Aiyuk emerge as one of the top receivers in the NFL. That would make an Aiyuk-Deebo Samuel duo a headache for opposing defenses. Until then, the 49ers have two impressive offensive weapons in Samuel and tight end George Kittle. That's good news for second-year quarterback Trey Lance, who is expected to be the team's Week 1 starter after starting only two games as a rookie. The Samuel-Kittle pairing ranks among Pro Football Focus' top five offensive duos heading into the 2022 season. Kambui Bomani explains that both controlling the middle of the field at an elite level landed them within the
