Last week, running back Jeff Wilson Jr. announced that he is returning to the San Francisco 49ers. It's a one-year, $1.085 million deal for the fifth-year player.
OverTheCap and Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network have revealed some contract details. Wilson will earn a base salary of $1.035 million in 2022 with a workout bonus of $50,000. In addition, $530,000 of his salary is guaranteed.
There are also $950,000 of incentives based on playing time, rushing yards, catches, and touchdowns.
Jeff Wilson (49ers) one year, $1.085M, $530K gtd, salary $1.035M ($530K gtd), up to $950K playtime, rush yards, catches, touchdowns incentive
For now, Wilson's cap hit sits at $1.085 million in 2022. Should the 49ers cut ties him, only his $530,000 in guarantees would count as dead cap money.
San Francisco signed Wilson (6-0, 213) as an undrafted free agent out of North Texas in 2018. The 26-year-old running back has 1,265 rushing yards on 298 attempts with 13 rushing touchdowns in 37 game appearances (nine starts) through his four NFL seasons.
