Former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator and Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn was hired to serve as assistant head coach.
LSU graduate assistant Asauni Rufus is reportedly set to serve in a quality control position.
Former Jacksonville Jaguars special teams coordinator Nick Sorensen is being hired as a defensive assistant.
Michigan graduate assistant Stephen Adegoke is expected to serve in a defensive quality control role.
Promotions
Offensive quality control coach Brian Fleurywas promoted to tight ends coach, replacing Jon Embree.
Quality control coach Leonard Hankersonoffered the job of wide receivers coach, replacing Wes Welker.
Departures
Offensive coordinator Mike McDanielleaves to become the Dolphins' head coach.
The Bears hire special teams coordinator Richard Hightower.
Assistant head coach and tight ends coach Jon Embreewas not retained. He later joined McDaniel's staff in Miami to serve in the same role he had with the 49ers.
