Watch and listen: 49ers players’ on-field reactions after beating the Rams

Jan 9, 2022 at 8:55 PM--

It took everything the San Francisco 49ers had to come away with the 27-24 overtime win against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Sunday. An interception by cornerback Ambry Thomas sealed the victory, and that's when the celebrating started.

The 49ers clinched a playoff berth with the win and will travel to Arlington, Texas, next weekend to face the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. A loss would have meant an end to the season and watching the postseason from home.

Obviously, 49ers players were euphoric at the end of the game. Below are some videos posted to the 49ers' official Twitter account showing players celebrating the well-deserved win over a division rival.

By Marc Adams

The good news? We're about five weeks away from 49ers training camp. The bad news? We're about five weeks away from 49ers training camp. We are now in the slowest, most boring time of the year for football fans. But we have you covered. We asked San Francisco 49ers fans for their hot takes or predictions regarding the team. Several responded. And now we're going to expose them (sorry—I meant "respond to" them). Let's get to it! Michael Arbios: Hot take is shouldn't have passed on Brady twice and keep Garoppolo, as Lance isn't ready to be the starter as proven by his poor play in the two games he started last season. I'm not sure how 'hot' this take is, due to its age, but I agree that the 49ers should have traded Jimmy Garoppolo

The days surrounding July 4th are more often than not one of the slowest times of the year for NFL content, which makes it an opportune time to shamelessly borrow another site's good idea. With that in mind, let's build off a feature that was published earlier today by NFL.com that selected one player from each team that could be in line for their first Pro Bowl appearance in 2022. Feature writer Nick Shook selected running back Elijah Mitchell for the 49ers, pointing at the unexpected level of success Mitchell had in his first NFL season after being drafted in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. "The 49ers enjoyed quality

CBS analyst calls 49ers' situations with Deebo Samuel and Jimmy Garoppolo 'messy' and 'awkward'

In May, former offensive lineman turned broadcaster and analyst Ryan Harris made headlines stating that sources inside the San Francisco 49ers shared doubts about second-year quarterback Trey Lance. He also said that some expected Jimmy Garoppolo to start come Week 1. Harris rejoined CBS Sports HQ to share his thoughts on two big 49ers-related offseason storylines—Deebo Samuel and Garoppolo. Earlier this offseason, Samuel requested to be traded after watching several of his wide receiver peers cash in while the 49ers star waited for his own contract extension. San Francisco had hoped to trade Garoppolo in March. However, the quarterback

Former NFL player compares 49ers' Trey Lance to Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance has started to attract serious attention from the media, as many analysts are coming on board with the 22-year-old's potential as he enters his second NFL season. During a recent appearance on NFL Total Access, former Green Bay Packers receiver James Jones continued the trend, going as far as comparing Lance to his former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. "I believe we're looking at a bonafide superstar [in Lance], like Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers," Jones said. "We had a small sample size of Aaron Rodgers, but all you heard out of the locker room and the people around Aaron was, 'Just wait. You
