Here's more bad news for the San Francisco 49ers secondary. Rookie cornerback Ambry Thomas tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday and has been added to the reserve/COVID-19 list.
That brings the total number of 49ers players on the reserve/COVID-19 list to five, including four defensive backs. One is running back Raheem Mostert, who is out for the season with a knee injury.
Below are the Niners currently on the list.

- RB Raheem Mostert (IR)
- CB Ambry Thomas
- S Jimmie Ward
- CB K'Waun Williams
The others were added to the reserve/ COVID-19 list on Tuesday. Each of the four defensive backs, including Thomas, still has a chance to be cleared in time for this weekend's game.
The 49ers are preparing to face the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Sunday's regular-season finale. A win would clinch a playoff berth. A loss could mean the team watches the postseason from home.
