The San Francisco 49ers are preparing to face the Los Angeles Rams for the first of two meetings in 2021. The matchup will take place at Levi's Stadium on Monday night. The 49ers own a 73-67-3 overall record against the Rams and have won each of the last four games between the teams. This marks the second-consecutive season that the 49ers host the Rams in primetime, having earned a 24-16 victory in Week 6 of 2020.

The 49ers are coming off a loss to the Arizona Cardinals. On offense, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed 28 of 40 passing attempts for 326 yards, two touchdowns, and a passer rating of 100.6. The game marked his third game of the season with 300-or-more passing yards. Tight end George Kittle returned from injured reserve, registering six receptions for 101 yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk added six catches for 89 yards and one touchdown while Deebo Samuel finished with five receptions for 63 yards.

On defense, defensive lineman Arik Armstead finished the game with a career-high 10 tackles and one sack. Defensive end Arden Key finished the game with one tackle and his first sack of the season. Defensive end Nick Bosa added four tackles and one forced fumble.
