On Monday, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan informed reporters that cornerback Josh Norman is dealing with a rib injury and will be limited this week as the team prepares to host the Los Angeles Rams.
Josina Anderson reports that Norman is trying to work through fractured ribs.
I'm told #49ers CB Josh Norman is dealing with fractured ribs, per league source. My understanding is Norman is trying to work through it. On a side note, you can look forward to seeing Norman next Tuesday on The CREW.

If the report is accurate, this would be Norman's second significant injury this season. He suffered a lung contusion during Week 3's contest against the Green Bay Packers. Norman was spitting up blood after leaving the field and spent the night in the hospital. He was inactive for Week 4.
San Francisco signed Norman on September 6. He has recorded 28 tackles, three tackles for a loss, an interception, and three passes defense through six starts this season. Norman was thrust into his starting role following the season-ending injury to Jason Verrett.
