The San Francisco 49ers have made the following roster moves ahead of Sunday's Week 8 road game against the Chicago Bears.
DT Kevin Givens activated from the injured reserve list
DT Javon Kinlaw and S Jaquiski Tartt placed on the injured reserve list
LB Azeez Al-Shaair (concussion) and DL Dee Ford (concussion) downgraded and ruled out for Sunday
DE Jordan Willis roster exemption lifted
TE Jordan Matthews and S Kai Nacua activated from the practice squad
The 49ers opened the practice window for Givens this week. Kinlaw had season-ending knee surgery this week.
"[Givens] had a good week, especially with what's going on with our D-line right now," head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Friday.
Tartt suffered a bone bruise in knee during Week 7's loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
San Francisco enters Sunday's game with a 2-4 record while Chicago is 3-4. Kickoff between the two teams is scheduled for noon CT (10 a.m. PT) from Soldier Field. The 49ers are currently favored by four points.
